We easily get hung up on the idea of worth. We have an obsessive need to measure the worth of anything we create – in terms of money, praise, “likes” or other acclaim. We are so programmed to carry out these evaluations, that we easily start doing it in the middle of a creative process. Needless to say, it kills the mood.
- Test Your State Of Flow
Paradoxically, creativity is worth it, regardless of the end result. It stimulates the brain, fights depression and staves of dementia, to name a few. It’s also good to remember, that you simply don’t know the worth of anything until it’s out there. If you find it difficult to clear your mind and access the creative flow, we recommend Mindfulness. To get you started, here’s a great article on the State of Flow and Mindfulness.
So, keep on creating!
